Ciao e bentornat*! Welcome back! The sweater was a garment I still had not sewn, so here it is!

This sweater has a special place in my heart: “I would like this sweater, would you do it for me, like the same?” And when your FRIEND asks you this, you say yes and do it!

I drafted this pattern from scratch and when you do it, you need to test it first, so that everything falls in place and my test was actually that flower (who knew, flowers!!!) gorgeous up here!

Cos’ha di speciale questa felpa? What’s special about this sweater?

  • Cappuccio foderato! Lined hood!
  • Tasche a filetto con lampo! Welt zippered pockets!
  • Lampo in sbieco! Diagonal zipper!

Insomma c’è di che divertirsi! Something to have a fun day with!

Un pò di tecnica! Let’s get technical!

Costruction wise it has a few interesting points: the hood is lined and as the zipper is diagonal, inside it is placed between two pieces of fabrics. This in order not to damage any garment worn underneath. The welt pockets are them too closed with a metal zipper.

In this photo the diagonal zipper can be seen better!

The back is basically one piece and what stands out is the hood for sure!

The sweater hems are made with knit rib fabric, so that you are hot and cool in your sweatert!

I dettagli! The details!

An here is is the diagonal zipper: the zipper is cased between two pieces of fabrics!

E queste belle tasche! Oh those pockets: they’re super beautiful even though it takes a bit of times in sewing them!

The hood has its own two strings, to secure the head from the wind! Isn’t it great?!

E il tessuto? Where did you get the fabric?

I bought this space bear fabric from CutCot but I think is over, cause on theire website there’s not a trace of it, sorry!

What do you think about my hooded sweater? I find them really cozy and perfect for both winter spring time!
