Cappotto Parigi: sperimenta e migliora solo per te!

E’ arrivato il momento di tornare a viaggiare, ma solo con la fantasia: pronti ad andare a Parigi? It’s about time to travel again, only with your fantasy: ready to go to Paris?

Ce ne stiamo rendendo conto sempre di più: il 2020 non è un anno come gli altri. Niente è finito presto, non è andato tutto bene e plausibilmente non si evolverà come speriamo nei nostri più rosei sogni.

We’re realizing every single day that 2020 it’s an unusual year. Nothing will end soon, nothing went good and possibly not everything will go as we wish.

Come fare e cosa fare per andare avanti in questo marasma che ci attornia? What to do to cope with this chaos that surrounds us?

Io ho deciso di andare avanti e fare ciò che so fare: i cartamodelli.

Vorrei che il cucito, a chiunque decida di approcciarsi a questa splendida arte, tenga compagnia; faccia capire quanto ognuno di noi sia in grado di imparare ad ogni età; porti con sè il messaggio di serenità e tranquillità che no, non è una sfida con nessuno se non con noi stessi e che sì, il cucito sarà sempre lì per te.

Inoltre vorrei non perdere i rapporti umani che questa situazione ci ha precluso per ovvie ragioni. Perchè per me il cucito è stare insieme, cementare amicizie, prendersi del tempo e concentrarsi sulla creazione, preoccupandosi di vivere nel momento perchè altrimenti non si riesce a cucire!

I’ve decided to go on and do what I know: pattern making.

I would love to let everyone know that sewing keeps you company, I would love to let you know that sewing is for everybody, no matter the age and the gender, I would love to let you know that sewing brings peace and calm, I would love to let you know that sewing isn’t about challenge someone, it’s improving yourself and yes, sewing will be always there for you.

I would also like not to loose relatiohships, that are obviously precluded in this situation. Because sewing for me means being together, making new friends and taking care of yourself, by staying in the moment.

Per queste ragioni ho deciso che il cartamodello di questo cappotto, Parigi, è gratuito.

For all of these reasons, I’ve decided that the pattern of this coat, Paris, is free.

Probably you remember it: it’s the pattern I’ve created to be published in the La Mia Boutique magazine in October 2019. And yes, in my eyes, it is just as romantic and marvelous as the real Paris is, which stole my heart years ago.

Yup, it is. You can find the pattern HERE and you can download it in multiple Italian sizes, 38 to 50, all in one PDF pattern. You will also find a material sheet, where you have the fabric measurements, the size measurements, and the pieces by which the coat is formed.

Un però c’è ed è il seguente: non troverai nè i piazzamenti nè le istruzioni per creare questo modello.

There’s just one thing: you will not find any instructions nor pattern placement to help you creating this pattern.

Perchè?

Perchè voglio che metti insieme le tue conoscenze, perchè voglio che sfidi te stess*, perchè voglio che non ti accontenti.

Se sei già ad un certo livello, metterti alla prova non ti spaventa di certo, mentre se sei alle prime armi invece potresti aver paura ed è assolutamente normale. E se sei alle prime armi vorresti farlo IERI, perchè diciamocelo: sognare in grande non è un delitto e vorresti tutto e subito – ci sono già passata, tranquill*!- .

Sia che tu sia del partito “Voglio farlo IERI” oppure ” So già fare un sacco di cose, ma non queste” per ovviare ai momenti di scoramento e di perplessità, possiamo fare un corso sul modello, in gruppo o con delle lezioni specifiche di passaggi specifici dei quali non capisci al meglio il funzionamento. Why?

Because I want you to go all-in with your knowledge. I want you to improve. I want you not to settle for anything less than “I know how to do it”.

If you already are at a certain level, upgrade a little bit will not worry you at all. If you’re somewhere between novice and intermediate, you could be scared by all of this and it’s totally normal. And if you’re in some way a newbie you would love to have done it YESTERDAY. Let’s face it: go big or go home, right? (been there, done that!)

• hood formed by two separate pieces,
• two pieces sleeve,
• front and back princess seam,
• front and back yoke,
• inseam pockets,
• hidden zip,
• half circle skirt,
• comfortable ease,
• all bias finished on the inside.

The coat Paris is available on PDF document with sizes divided in layers: you can print only the size you really need. The pattern has NOT the seam allowances included.
