Ecco a te Alice, la gonna a pieghe cannone!

Spring: here we are! Nature’s waking up, flowers are blooming and the air is chilling! Do you know any better moment to sew a brand new skirt to wear once we can go out again? And, by the way: running errands count as going out, at the moment!

Let me introduce you to Alice, the boxing pleat skirt!

Alice viene da lontano: penso fosse il 2016 e la creai da indossare al matrimonio della mia migliore amica delle elementari. Lei era splendida, di classe e meravigliosa come sempre e io le resi omaggio con questa gonna.

Alice comes from afar: think it was 2016 and I created this pattern for my kindergarten BFF’s wedding, which I attended as a bridesmaid. She was stunningly beautiful as always and I thought this style would suit her personality and both my and her tastes.

As per all other DiNuvoleDiCuori patterns, you will not find any instructions nor pattern placement to help you creating this pattern. On top of that, DiNuvoleDiCuori patterns do NOT have seam allowances included. You can add them accordingly to your preferences.

Perchè?

Perchè voglio che metti insieme le tue conoscenze, perchè voglio che sfidi te stess*, perchè voglio che non ti accontenti.

Più semplicemente voglio che ti diverti a sperimentare, a non avere regole già scritte e vedere cosa salta fuori .

Se sei già ad un certo livello, metterti alla prova non ti spaventa di certo, mentre se sei alle prime armi invece potresti aver paura ed è assolutamente normale. E se sei alle prime armi vorresti farlo IERI, perchè diciamocelo: sognare in grande non è un delitto e vorresti tutto e subito – ci sono già passata, tranquill*!- .

Sia che tu sia del partito “Voglio farlo IERI” oppure ” So già fare un sacco di cose, ma non queste” per ovviare ai momenti di scoramento e di perplessità, possiamo fare un corso sul modello, in gruppo o con delle lezioni specifiche di passaggi specifici dei quali non capisci al meglio il funzionamento. Why?

Because I want you to go all-in with your knowledge. I want you to improve. I want you not to settle for anything less than “I know how to do it”.

But easier than that: I want you to have fun, I want you to have no rules at all and see what comes out of it.

If you already are at a certain level, upgrade a little bit will not worry you at all. If you’re somewhere between novice and intermediate, you could be scared by all of this and it’s totally normal. And if you’re in some way a newbie you would love to have done it YESTERDAY. Let’s face it: go big or go home, right? (been there, done that!)
