Da qualche tempo collaboro con Maria di Maria Denmark Sewing, creatrice di cartamodelli indipendenti e ho avuto l’opportunità di cucire la blusa Solitude di Sewing Life magazine numero 9.
It’s about a few months now that I’m collaborating with Maria from Maria Denmark Sewing, indie pattern creator and I’ve had the opportunity to sew the Solitude blouse you find on the Sewing Life Magazine issue 9.
Come funziona Sewing Life Magazine? Per ogni numero hai un modello da cucire e tutti i tutorial per crearlo e renderlo tuo! In questo numero si esplorava l’universo bluse e io ho aggiunto alla mia le ruches sulla spalla spostata in avanti oltre all’arricciatura sul centro davanti!
How does Sewing Life Magazine work? For each and every number you have a new pattern with all the tutorials you need to make it perfect for yourself! In this issue where the blouse world was on prime time, I decided to add some ruffles on the shoulder seam – which is forwarded on the front bodice compared to a standard shoulder seam placement!
Pur essendo pratica come tutti i modelli che Maria Denmark propone, la blusa Solitude necessita di molta attenzione: quando si cuce con tanti dettagli bisogna dedicare al capo scelto il tempo necessario e non avere fretta!
When sewing details, you need to dedicate the correct amount of time and patience to a garment and the Solitude blouse makes no difference!
E la stoffa? What about the fabric?
La blusa Solitude può essere cucita con dei tessuti fermi ma fluenti: io per la mia versione ho scelto una viscosa color salmone morbida, fluente, da maneggiare con le mani della festa poichè perdeva un sacco di fili ma meravigliosa da cucire!
The Solitude blouse is created for wovens: for my version I went for a salmon viscose, smooth, great drape, kinda tricky as it was losing fibers as working with it but absolutely fabulous to sew!

I dettagli da non dimenticare in questa blusa sono diversi: lo sprone dietro che sposta la cucitura della spalla verso il davanti è sicuramente uno da ricordare!
The details you need to remember are a few in this blouse: let’s start with the back yoke that moves the central shoulder seam on the front bodice!
Si passa poi al centro davanti arricciato e all’inserimento delle ruches sulla cucitura manica spostata verso il davanti!
And then we move on the front bodice. We can find here the gathered front and the ruffles inserted in the moved forward shoulder seam!
